Aadhti is a hyperlocal wholesale marketplace operated by AADHATMANDI AGROTECH PVT LTD ("Aadhti", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights. It is designed to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its SPDI Rules, 2011. As a marketplace we connect buyers with independent shopkeepers ("sellers"); for the data a seller collects and uses about their own customers, the seller is a separate data fiduciary.
1. Information we collect
Account details you provide when you sign in — your name, and your email (via Google or email link) or phone number (via OTP/PIN).
Order and delivery details — delivery address, items ordered, quantities, prices, order history, and your chosen payment method (cash on delivery).
Content you upload — if you are a shopkeeper, the product and shop photos you add.
Technical data — device/browser information, IP address, and cookies needed to keep you signed in and to operate the site.
Communications — messages you send us for support.
2. How we use your information
To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
To show products, take orders, and pass your order and contact details to the relevant shopkeeper so they can prepare, fulfil and deliver it.
To provide customer support, prevent fraud and misuse, and keep the service safe.
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We process personal data on the basis of your consent and to perform the service you request; you may withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights).
3. Sharing with shopkeepers (sellers)
Aadhti is a multi-vendor marketplace. When you place an order, we share the details needed to fulfil it — your name, phone number and delivery address — with the shopkeeper you ordered from and, where applicable, their delivery person.
Sellers may only use this information to fulfil your order and provide related support. Sellers are independent businesses and are responsible for their own handling of your data.
4. Service providers and sub-processors
We use trusted providers to run Aadhti: Supabase (authentication and database hosting), our cloud/object storage provider for uploaded images, our server host, Google (for Google Sign-In), and email/SMS providers for login and notifications.
These providers process data only on our instructions and under their own security and privacy commitments. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Payments
Orders are cash on delivery. We do not collect or store your card, UPI or bank account details.
If we introduce online payments in future, they will be handled by a PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateway, and this policy will be updated.
6. Cookies and sessions
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the cart and checkout. These are required for the site to work.
We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising or third-party ad tracking.
7. Data retention
We keep your account and order data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal/tax requirements. You can ask us to delete your account (see Your rights); some records may be retained where the law requires.
8. Security
We apply reasonable security safeguards as expected under the SPDI Rules — including encryption of data in transit, hashing of login PINs, signed session cookies, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Children
Aadhti is intended for business and adult use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 without verifiable parental consent as required by the DPDP Act.
10. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may: access the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct or update it; ask us to erase it; withdraw your consent; and raise a grievance.
